Fire Rooster Chinese New Year 2017

According to Feng Shui, this year 2017 is the year of the fire rooster. This year, the lunar new year comes early. It starts today, January 28, 2017. When lunar new year comes early, it is believed that the essence of Springtime growth energy is here. Hence, this year 2017 is a very promising year to attain wealth luck.

To those who are not quite familiar with Feng Shui, Feng Shui is not a religion but an art. It is an ancient belief that originated in China. It is a study of placement in relation to the flow of energy to build harmony around us. It is not rocket Science. Most feng Shui applications are sensible and common practices that we do every day. The most basic and simplest form of applying good Feng Shui is getting rid of clutter in your space.

Water for 2016

feng shui tips, feng shui, feng shui 2016, feng shui cures, feng shui water, water element,

For those interested in Feng Shui, the Southeast bagua area is expected to have excellent energy in 2016, the so-called White Star #1 (of Water element). This feng shui star brings beneficial energy to strengthen your overall success and good luck energy (mostly connected to your career success).

The best feng shui cures for this area are the ones that express the Water feng shui element, so feel free to add as many of Water element decor items here in 2016 as your heart pleases. Blue or black pillows, rugs or blankets, images of water or even a small actual water feature are all good here. Mirrors or mirror-like surfaces are also welcomed, as are flowing shapes in your overall decor theme (flowing shapes being the expression of the Water feng shui element energy).

Chinese Zodiac Sign

Are you familiar with Chinese Star Signs? According to this Chinese belief, the animal that rules your year is the animal that rules your heart. I wonder if this is true.

I was born 1979. Following the Chinese zodiac sign, I was born in the year of the Sheep, sometimes called the Goat.

Sheep/Goat years are: 1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015, 2027. It’s a 12 year cycle.

The year of the Sheep: is one that will be a time for caring, bringing out creative talent, imagination and emotion, whilst remaining, calm, smooth and slow. "Harmony with moderation" are the key words with a warning about the danger of negativity.

Personality Traits: People born under the year of the Goat/Sheep tend to take on the role of the "good Samaritan". The Sheep is the most feminine sign of all of the Chinese animals. Usually they are very good-natured, genuine, timid and bashful, which can sometimes lead to them being taken 'for a ride' by others. They seem to be, at first glance, better off than those born in the zodiac's other years. But sheep year people are often shy, pessimistic, and puzzled about life. They are usually deeply religious, yet timid by nature.. They are natural born worriers who will always predict and expect the worst. They especially loathe criticism and regulation and sometimes find it difficult to maintain an objective view on things. However they are kindhearted, mild, understanding and very forgiving. They would rather be in a huff than come to blows. On the whole people tend to "care deeply" for them and they will always have the things that they require in life. They have an enduring personality that prefers not to disclose troubles unless really forced to. Sheep people deny themselves nothing and are "hopeless romantics". They are wise, gentle, and compassionate and always passionate about what they do and what they believe in.

Sheep/Goat Lucky Numbers
3, 4, 5, 12, 34, 45 and 54.

People born in the Year of the Sheep are highly compatible with

Rabbits: ( 1915 - 1927 - 1939 - 1951 - 1963 - 1975 - 1987 )
Horses: ( 1918 - 1930 - 1942 - 1954 - 1966 - 1978 - 1990 )
Pigs/Boar: ( 1911 - 1923 - 1935 - 1947 - 1959 - 1971 - 1983 )

Harmonious relationship with: snake, sheep, and monkey

Snake ( 1917 - 1929 - 1941 - 1953 - 1965 - 1977 - 1989 )
Sheep/Goat ( 1919 - 1931 - 1943 - 1955 - 1967 - 1979 – 1991)
Monkey ( 1920 - 1932 - 1944 - 1956 - 1968 - 1980 - 1992 )

The Sheep/Goat has no conflict but needs to make an effort with: Tiger and Dog

Tiger: ( 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010)
Dog ( 1910 - 1922 - 1934 - 1946 - 1958 - 1970 - 1982)

The Goat has a difficult relationship with: rat, ox, dragon, rooster

Rat: (1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008)
Ox/Bull: (1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009)
Dragon ( 1916 - 1928 - 1940 - 1952 - 1964 - 1976 - 1988 )
Rooster ( 1921 - 1933 - 1945 - 1957 - 1969 - 1981 – 1993)

I am not sure if these things are true or not. I was just curious and having fun knowing my chinese zodiac sign. Its quite interesting that most of the sheep traits mentioned are true to me. Is it a mere coincidence?
